Sewing skills for life
BOOK A CLASSLearn. Create. Sew
Little Stitch Academy is a creative sewing school where kids and adults learn real sewing skills in a fun, supportive environment. From complete beginners to confident makers, everyone is encouraged to create, learn and be proud of what they make.
WHY LEARN TO SEW?
-
A SKILL FOR LIFE
Sewing is a practical skill children can carry with them forever. Our goal is to bring this once-everyday skill back into every household, giving the next generation the confidence to make, mend and repair. -
CREATIVITY & CONFIDENCE
The benefits go far beyond sewing. Children learn to problem-solve, work independently, persevere through mistakes and experience the incredible pride of saying, “I made this.” -
A PLACE TO BELONG
Sewing brings children together. Our classes create a space to talk, create, help one another and form friendships naturally, while allowing every child to learn and participate at their own pace. -
MINDFUL MAKING
By learning to mend, reuse and upcycle from a young age, children begin to value what they own and understand how things are made — building more sustainable habits that can last a lifetime.

★★★★★ Erin A.
"My daughter has attended holiday programs with Little Stitch, had her birthday party here – and is now a weekly attendee. She looks forward to her class every week and loves the projects they get to create! Absolute bonus that all materials are included and that they get to learn a no waste approach to fabric use! Highly recommend".

“My 7 year old daughter did the holiday program here and absolutely LOVED it – it was so well-organised and well-run, and after a 3 hour session (having never sewed before), she came home with a cushion and a purse she’d sewed herself. It was beautiful to see how proud she was".
